NANCY DERSOFI Obituary
NANCY, age 76, of N.Y. City, on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Beloved daughter of the late Edmond and Eva (Cohen) Dersofi. Loving sister of Phyllis Kepnes, Judith Goldberg and the late Myrna Bricker. Sister-in-law of Edward Kepnes, Alan Schwartz and the late Robert Goldberg. Dear aunt of Julie and Neil, Michael and Nicole, Alexander, Alison and Jonathan, Jeremy and Leah, Daniel, David and Suzanne, Steven and Tracey. Also survived by many beloved grand-nieces and nephews. Services at Temple Emanuel of Newton, 385 Ward St., Newton, MA on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. Interment at Tifereth Israel of Everett Cemetery.
Following interment, memorial observance will be at the home of Judith Goldberg through 8 P.M. and continuing on Friday from 12 - 4 P.M. Nancy was a Professor of Italian Literature and Comparative Literature for 34 years at Bryn Mawr College and was an opera lover, world traveler, and a lifelong scholar. In lieu of flowers, remem-brances may be made to the Metropolitan Opera, office of Planned giving, 30 Lincoln Center, NY, NY 10023, or to the Bryn Mawr College, 101 N. Merion Ave., Bryn Mawr PA 19010-2899.
