OLIVIA E. (Stolz), 97, of Paoli PA, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Olivia was the wife of the late Dominic Verno. She was born in 1914 on a farm in Roberts County, near Sisseton, South Dakota. Olivia put herself through nursing school and became an operating room nurse. She enlisted in the U.S. Army as a nurse and served as a Captain in France and Germany during WWII.
Olivia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grand-mother and a devoted Catholic.
She was preceded by her son, Nicholas J. Verno. Surviving is her sister, Leona Tate; her 2 children, James Verno and Veronica Bowlan. Also surviving are grandchildren, David Verno, Nicole Verno Freas, Alexander Verno, Heather Bowlan, Emily Bowlan and great grandchildren, Logan Freas, Tyler Freas, Samuel Freas and Zoey Verno. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 26, 2012, at St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Ave., Malvern PA, from 10 to 10:50 A.M. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 A.M. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
