PATRICIA MATURA Obituary
DR. PATRICIA A., age 62, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina (formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) died March 6, 2013 after battling scleroderma for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents William Matura and Nell S. Matura. She is survived by brothers Dr. William S. Matura II (Suzanne) of Cape May Court House, New Jersey and Dr. Raymond C. Matura (Pamela) of Gallipolis, Ohio. Other survivors include nephews Bill Matura (Colleen), Ryan Matura (Stephanie) and Jason Matura; nieces Adriane Matura and Meagan Barnes (Christopher). Also surviving her are two great nieces, Mackenzie and Peyton Matura, and one great nephew, Nicholas Barnes. Special Friend, Edward Kijewski Jr. also survives her. Dr. Patricia Matura practiced podiatry in the Bridesburg, Roxborough and North Philadelphia areas of the city for many years, until her illness caused her to leave the profession she loved. She found an island paradise and enjoyed her time on Seabrook Island and her many friends. A Funeral liturgy will be held on March 16, 2013 at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, 437 West Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania at 12:30 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held in May on Seabrook Island, South Carolina.

Patti was such a positive and courageous friend. She always brought laughter and beauty to every occasion. She was so strong and always so interested in other people. I am so glad she is at peace now and enjoying all the beauty in heaven.
