PHOEBE (nee Levine), July 17, 2013, of Merion Station. Wife of the late Samuel, mother of Dr. Abby Brodkin (Lyle Weiss), and Michael Brodkin (Karen Boyskey), grandmother of Samantha Brodkin, Martin Weiss and Scott Weiss. Relatives and friends are invited to services Friday 12:30 P.M. JOSEPH LEVINE AND SONS MEMORIAL CHAPELS (WEST), 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall PA. Int. Har Zion Cem. The family will return to the residence of Abby and Lyle Weiss. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Cantors Fund at Tiferet Bet Israel.

Abby & Michael,
There are no words that can lessen your grief or give you comfort. No matter what the circumstances, losing a parent, particularly the sole remaining parent, is like a thunderclap of pain & sadness.
I'm sorry for your loss and will always & only embrace the wonderful memories of those years when our families were so close and in some ways like interchangeable parts.
As you know, our rabbis tell us that death is not so much a tragedy as it is an important part of G-d's plan for us, a plan that includes an afterlife…a world to come…where good people like your mom (& dad) will be rewarded for an exemplary life!
I hope that you both and your families, especially your children, will draw some solace from a treasure trove of warm and happy recollections of times past.
