Visitation will begin at 11 A.M., Thursday, August 8, 2013, with the Funeral Service at 12 Noon, at BRINGHURST FUNERAL HOME AT WEST LAUREL HILL CEMETERY, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd PA 19004. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Military Family Assoc.,

Today I learned that Richard passed away. I am saddened. His was a voice for change within the community, giving everyone an opportunity to take part in the debate. He was always positively inspirational regardless of the outcome. He will be missed.

I was, unfortunately, away when Dick passed. As a neighbor I admired his great commitment to civic matters. Dick was a fine man.
