NACE
RICHARD FRANKLIN "DICK", 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Evergreen Woods in North Branford, Connecticut. He was born on August 6, 1927 in Camden, New Jersey to Harold H. and Ruth R. Nace.
Dick grew up in Haddonfield, New Jersey and graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 1946. After high school he attended Rutgers University where he studied agriculture and was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Following Rutgers, he attended the Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Journalism in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was awarded the Barclay J. Doyle Award.
Dick began his career in specialty printing paper sales in 1950 with the Garrett Buchanan Paper Company in Philadelphia. He subsequently worked for what is now the Lindenmeyr Munroe Paper Company, a division of Central National-Gottesman, Inc., for 37 years until his retirement in 1995.
Dick Married Dorothy Ann "Dixie" Baird in 1961 in Haddon-field, New Jersey, and she was the love of his life for 52 years.
Dick was a member of the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and the First Congregational Church of Branford in Branford, Connecticut. He was a regular attendee at the Lincoln Table at the Union League of Philadel-phia. He was also a member of the Y's Men's Club of Haddonfield, New Jersey, the Poor Richard Club in Philadelphia and the Rotary Clubs of Philadelphia and Newtown Square, PA. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, spending time with his family and vacationing in New Hampshire.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth Nace and his brothers Harold Russ "Jerry" Nace and Charles Robert Nace.
Dick is survived by his wife, Dixie, also of Haddonfield, New Jersey; his son Richard Franklin Nace, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Madison, Connec-ticut; his son Andrew Baird Nace and his wife Susan of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren Olivia, Andrew and Morgan Nace; and his cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Branford at a date to be determined.
