ROBERT WARWICK Obituary

WARWICK


ROBERT O., 93, of New Holland, formerly of Doylestown, died of natural causes on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland. Born in Narberth, PA and raised in Wayne, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Laurence and Mary O. (Orem) Warwick. His wife, Florence S. (Seitz) Warwick, died June 2, 2003. Robert graduated from Radnor High School in 1938 and studied Industrial Engineering at Lehigh University. During WWII he served in the US Marines, 3rd Division, in Guam and Iwo Jima and spent nine months in North China after the war. Later he worked as a Public Relations Consultant for the former John F. Rich Company in Philadelphia from 1947 until 1987 where he became Senior Vice President Robert loved big band music; he sang and played the piano, clarinet and saxophone, and enjoyed playing tennis and golf.
Surviving is a son, Robert O., Jr., married to Margo (Varzaly) Warwick of Havertown; two daughters, Barbara J. Carden of Spokane, WA, and Mary Louise Warwick of Drexel Hill; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is a brother, C. Laurence Warwick, Jr.; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Holzman. A Visitation from 10:30 to 11:30A.M. followed by a memorial service at 11:30A.M. will be held on Saturday, April 20 at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
