Shirley was a good friend and lovely lady. I always enjoyed her company; she had a great sense of humor and an easygoing nature that made one feel very comfortable to be with her. Her pride in and love for her children and grandchildren was boundless; it was obvious in her sweetly quiet way. Rest in peace at last, Shirley.

My sincere sympsthy to all of Shirly's family. Shirley and I met in Upper Darby High School and graduated together and I will always remember her dry sense of humor and bright red hair. We double dated and had fun and kept in touch after we graduated. She married first and Ed and I visited her and Larry when they lived in an apartment in Phila. and watched their 7 or 9 ? inch TV. They were the only ones we knew who had one.
Ed and I married in 1950 and Shirley was my Matron of Honor and I carried her wedding prayer book for something borrowed. Now she is the last of my wedding party to pass including my Ed.
Our vists got less and we started to raise families. Every time she had a girl I had a boy finally having my 5 sons. When they bought their house on Wilde ave ironically it was 2 streets above where I lived and grew up on and I walked through their yard to go to high school many years before. We had a good laugh about that We kept in touch and saw each other at school reunions and decided that instead of meeting every 5 years we decided to do lunch every month with 2 other classmates Alice and Margaret and continued until Shirley went to Broomall and we tried to vsit her there as often as we could. She was always happy to see us. I will always remember her as a dear friend, her humor, Her bright red hair, and the years of friendship we shared. Hope she is with Larry again and hope our husbands welcomed her. Peace be with you Shirley. Love you, Marian

I worked with Shirley at the Library at Bryn Mawr College. Her smiles and wry sense of humor could always be counted on to brighten the day.
May her good humor and love remain in your hearts.
