WILLIAM LEX Obituary

WILLIAM BARCLAY, JR., of Bryn Mawr PA, passed away on Feb. 27, 2013. He was born March 14, 1924 in Phila. to William Barclay Lex Sr. and May Butler Lex. He married the late Mary Lee Hillhouse in 1945, with whom he raised and showed Collies and frequently traveled on cruises. They welcomed their daughter Constance Gardner in 1961 and son John Barclay in 1962. Bill worked for Phila. Life Insurance Co. for many years before becoming Senior VP. Bill is survived by daughter, Connie Powers and 3 grandchildren, Lex Powers, Heather Powers, and Nicole Lex. Interment private. Arr. BRINGHURST FUNERAL HOME AT WEST LAUREL HILL CEM.

Hi Connie,
I saw this obituary online and wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of your father. I remember him from when we were children and he was always very kind. For some reason I have strong memories of him grilling hamburgers in your backyard, and of the spats he wore when he and your mother went out one evening. Sweet memories. I hope you are all well.
