ANNE THERESA BRENNAN LEEDS Notice
LEEDS

ANNE THERESA BRENNAN, left this world tragically on May 31, 2014, as she returned home from an inspiring day designed to benefit children.
Born on April 25, 1940, along with her dearest friend and identical twin sister Eileen, Anne Theresa Brennan joined the raucous family of Kate and John Brennan. She grew up on Mohican Street in West Oak Lane with her 6 brothers and sisters. Attending St. Athanasius, Little Flower and Cardinal Dougherty High Schools, Anne made the friends she would cher-ish throughout her entire life.
During a summer as a mother's helper in Margate NJ Anne met the handsome lifeguard Jim Leeds and her heart was taken. Anne and Jim were married at St. Athanasius on June 23, 1962. Anne and Jim resided in Wayne PA, raising their four children, Jimmy, Patellen, Teddy and Ryan. They later retired to their dream house in Longport NJ. She taught at St. David's Nursery School in Wayne for 26 years, touching the lives of countless children and families. Anne was active in several organizations through her life and was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish in Longport NJ. But her passion was always her family, ensuring that her children spent as much time as possible with their Leeds and Brennan cousins.
She has left a legacy of family and is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Leeds, Sr.; their children Jim and his wife Jill (Flanigan), Patellen Corr, Ted and his wife Amy (Armour), and Ryan Leeds; their 9 grandchildren, Jimmy, Julie, Jack, Seamus, Denis, Ally, Teddy, Kevin and Brennan Elizabeth; and the many members of the extended Leeds and Brennan families. She is also survived by her sisters, Eileen Reddington (Marty) and Kass McManus; her brother, Ed Brennan (Ann); and pre-deceased by her brothers Jack (Kathy); Bob and sister-in-law AnnaMae; and her sister Patricia and brother-in-law Joe Smith. Her family and her many friends will miss her deep faith, her infectious smile, her warmth, and her love. Her grandchildren will miss her "vegetables."
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 9 to 11 A.M., at Holy Trinity Parish: Church of the Epiphany, 29th and Ventnor Avenues, Longport NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Holy Trinity Parish: Epiphany Campus, c/o 11 N. Kenyon Ave., Margate, NJ 08402.
