Just heard last week. Chris, for some reason, the best ones go first. Thank you for what you taught my family about perseverance, positivity, and courage.

My heart aches for one of the sweetest persons to ever leave Mayfair. I didn't know Chris but I always knew he embodied everything that was good in order to marry such a wonderful person.
I've been praying for him for a long time. Now he is among the saints and does not need our prayers. We have to pray TO him as he intercedes on our behalf. God bless you!
Prosit!

Dear Theresa and Family,
The parish of Our Lady of the Lake, Seattle, will keep Chris and all of you in our thoughts and prayers. From what Vince has shared--and from the tributes I've read--Chris was, and is, a true light. May the light of his presence continue to shine out during this dark and sad time.
Sincerely,
Father Tim Clark, Pastor

I witnessed many examples of courage both on and off the ice during the 4 decades I was employed by the NHL as referee. Without reservation, I never witnessed anyone or anything that came close to demonstrating the courage and determination to fight against overwhelming odds like Chris Casey did! Chris endured incredible pain with such grace and he carried his cross with dignity and love right to the end of his life here on earth. Chris was a man of deep faith and as such knew that God calls each one of His children to Sainthood with the promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven. In spite of this ultimate reward that we should all aspire to, Chris fought the good fight so unselfishly; it was not for himself that he fought so hard to remain on earth a while longer but for the love and devotion that he bore his adoring wife Theresa and their exceptional children, Kathryn, Caroline, Gillian and 'Little Chris'.
As a hockey coach Chris demonstrated tremendous passion for the game that he loved. Coach Chris not only gave freely of his knowledge of the game but also his kind heart and strenght of charachter in an effort to shape and mold fine young men! To that end Chris Casey lives on in his players.
Chris touched many lives in such a positive way and he is forever imbedded in the hearts of those that had the blessing to know this great and loving man. Theresa and children, we offer you our continued love, prayers and support along with our deepest sympathy.
Love,
Kerry & Kathy Fraser & Family

Chris was one of the best... when we were kids growing up on the bay in Sea Isle City and the Flyers won those 2 Stanley Cups, we all became fans for life, but none bigger than Chris ! Always a positive upbeat guy I had little doubt he would make a great Father and an awesome coach. A very tragic loss to a wonderful family and I am sure Chris was upbeat and determined right till the end. God Bless you Chris Casey, you were one of the best in the old neighbor and my heart goes out to your wonderful family whom I know will keep your memory alive!
Rest in peace my friend

They don't come any better than Chris. I played hockey with Chris for so 'many' years and will always remember drinking beers in the locker room. Great times !!
And would always see Chris at the rink for his kids Comcast games.
We miss you already Chris. Rest in Peace.
