I just learned of Deborah's death today, as I asked an acquaintance to look up her work, and am saddened by it.

She was a friend of my father, who was a professional musician, when they lived in San Francisco around 1960.

I was hoping to finally meet her in person on her next California trip. Damn.

What a wonderful person, having met Deborah in 2001 - she was a warm friend with a tremendous sense of humor, and inspirational regarding life, and of course visually involving our Art World. Her compassion for others will always be appreciated. A true friend indeed always. - Julie Ann Quist, Winona, Minnesota

We were best friends for a while in the '50s when she attended the Art Institute. She was stunningly beautiful and a wonderful cook besides receiving the silver chalice as the Art Institute's outstanding graduate. I will never forget how much fun it was to be around her. Joan Joaquin-Wood

I hope that Deborah will be remembered as the outstanding artist that she was. She enriched my life as an art critic.
