Dear Garoh Family:
We were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I, (Connie) have been a friend of the family from the time they came to Strathmere many years ago. Peggy, Jim and I grew up together
down there. Both Ollie and I will miss Jim riding his bike and stopping to talk. He always had a smile and something funny to say. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. His family and mine were friends for over 60 years. His dad with his beloved dog, Captain use to tie up his boat at our pier. Jim shared pictures and stories with me about people we knew from Strathmere. He was a very kind man who was often seen riding his bike along Bay View Drive. My sincere condolences to his children and grandchildren.

Dear Garoh Family,

Jim has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. He has been a part of Strathmere, it feels, forever. My mother was friends with Jim's mother. They would sit with each other on the beach. A part of Strathmere is gone now. I'll remember him at the 4th of July parade with his ever-present camera as we passed by. I will always remember his smile and warmth. Jim, we will miss you so much! Sumner Road will not be the same without you.

Dear Garoh Family, Jim has been a part of Strathmere during my entire lifetime. It's hard to imagine summer without him. He has always been one of the few people who knew more history than I can retain. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My Mom & Dad were also very fond of him and I believe at one time he worked for them at their service center on Willard Road when he was a teenager.

My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you during this very sad time.

With sincere sympathy,
Debbie Wittkamp Vandegrift
