I met Marion on a trip to Tuscan gardens in 2003 where we became fast friends and "buddies" for life. I will miss the sparkle in her eye, her keen intellect and wit, but most of all the huge laughs that came out of her tiny body. I will cherish those memories and celebrate her life as long as I live. Now she's back with Jack and no doubt having a good laugh. God bless and keep you Marion.

As a member of The Study Class, Marion presented "Rapids and "Meanders", "extracts from a collection of poems set down over the last 60 years of my life." She was a beautiful lady, and she wrote beautiful poetry which reflected her sensibility and perception. We mourn her passing, and offer our sympathy to her family.

I have such fond memories of working with Marian on "You and Your Environment" - a Radnor Township cable television program she initiated shortly after I joined The Weeders. She had so much energy, foresight and devotion to environmental issues and was truly a rare and treasured combination of inspiration, leadership and fun for which I will always be grateful.

Marion was a true lady. She was so modest and had so much energy with a drive to help others. It was a pleasure to have know her thru the Weeders. I remember once walking in a wooded garden and what a treat it was to be with her. My heart goes out to her family at this time. I am sure that you have wonderful memories to draw on in the future. She will certainly be missed.

What a lovely, smart, talented, gentle lady. She was a wonderful Weeder and friend.

My prayers and thoughts are with her family. I knew Mrs. Appel and learned much from her over many years in The Weeders Garden Club.
