SONYA S. "SUNNY" (nee Stern)
April 22, 2018. Wife of John Ryan; In addition to her husband, Sunny is survived by her daughter, Robin Richman (Bruce Auerbach), stepchildren John A. Ryan III (Barb), Edward G. Ryan, Annemarie Cavalcanti (Walter), Margaret Ryan-Atkinson (William), and Gerard P. Ryan (Eileen). Three grandchildren Philip Auerbach (Anya), Daria Auerbach Barkai, (Nechemia) and Erik Auerbach. Step-grandchildren Jen Cox (John), John, (Megan), and Ellen Ryan, Walter, Vince and Sara Cavalcanti, William, Dylan (Daisy) and Annamarie Atkinson, and Caitlin and Frank Ryan. Three great grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren Asher, Batya and Daniella, Savannah, John, Madeline, Katherine and Carolyn and Presley Rose. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Sunday, 1 P.M. precisely at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St. Phila. Interment Montefiore Cemetery. Shiva will be observed Monday evening only at her late residence. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Jazz Bridge Project, Settlement Music School and concerts at the Cathedral.

Sunny and I worked together at South Philadelphia High. We became good friends. A woman of rare energy and intelligence, she was a dynamo. .We have lost a great women. Love you and miss you Sunny
