VINCENT "JIM", at home surrounded by his loving family, a good man peacefully passed away on December 28, 2013, at the age of 99. He is survived by Jennie, his wife and childhood sweetheart of 77 years. He was a wonderful father to Marie (George), Merino (Mary) and Jimmy (Trudie). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grand-children, and one great great-grandchild. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Pauline, Dolly and Clara; plus many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Philadelphia, he was a 60 year resident of Bustleton. He was an usher and member of Maternity BVM, St. John Newman's Seniors, the Sons of Italy Lodge #2184, and accordionist of the Ferko String Band. A retired employee of Ortliebs, he was a member of Union Local #836. Jimmy was a wonderful family man who loved laughter, music and dance. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to Maternity BVM R.C. Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave., Phila. on Monday, January 6, for his Memorial Mass beginning at 10 A.M. Family will begin greeting guests at 9 A.M. In lieu of flowers, we respectfully request that contributions in his memory be made to a charity of donor's choice.
