BARRY JEROME, January 31, 2014. Barry was born in Phila. and raised in Lansdowne, PA. He was the oldest son of George and Frances (Winokur) and older brother of J. Donald Reimenschneider. After grad-uating from Friends Central in Phila., he went onto play football for the Univ. of Penn. Barry worked as a Loan Manager at Industrial Valley Bank in Jenkintown, PA, retiring after 35 years. While his tenure there, he enjoyed running the softball league with other bank employees. After retiring from IVB, he accepted a position working for Mont-gomery County, PA as a Procurement Specialist. Barry was the first person to work this position in which he retired from at age 72.
Barry was a true sports enthusiast, especially for football. He coached high school football at Monsignor Bonner High School for a decade. As an honored member of the nationally-acclaimed Maxwell Football Club, he was given The Presidential Award by Ron Jaworski, for volun-teering over 50 years of service.
Barry was very involved in his community. He was a member of Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, Elkins Park, PA. He served as Board President for the Rydal East, Inc., on the Fairway. He was GOP Committeeman, for the Rydal/Jenkintown area for many, many years. During the 1970-80's, he routinely sold the Sunday papers at Oswald Pharmacy, Jenkintown when it was owned by Marv Weizer. He enjoyed family trips to Ocean City, NJ and traveling cross-country for the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, CA. During summer months, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at the pool.
Barry was a devoted and caring husband, a loving and generous father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He is greatly missed. Husband of Carolyn (nee Kaelin). Father of Kathleen (John) Fiume, Colleen Edwards and Georgeen (Aaron) Harris. Grandfather of Emma and Isabella.
Relatives and friends are invited to Memorial Services Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 4 P.M. precisely at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton.
