HERBERT J. BLAIR, SR.,
82, husband of Doris M. (Jordan) Blair, of Skippack and formerly of Erdenhiem, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Fletcher) Blair.
Herbert was a 1949 graduate of Roxborough High School. He worked as a banking officer for 40 years at First Pennsylvania Bank, Philadelphia and was a former President and Chairman of the Board for Tioga Franklin Savings Bank, Fishtown PA.
Herbert was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown PA. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 61 years, are his children, Paul R. Blair and wife, Kim, Warrington PA; and Carol L., wife of Randy Bergey, Lederach PA; daughter-in-law, Leslie K. (Sell) Blair, Green Lane PA; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Herbert J. Blair, Jr. in April.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M., on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3104 Main Street, Sumneytown PA. There will be a Visitation at 10 to 11 A.M. on Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contri-butions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, PO Box 255, Sumneytown PA 18084.
