JOHN "JACK" of Spring City, PA died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008 in the Southeastern PA Veterans' Center. He was 61 years old. Jack, a former employee of Lansdale Bowling and Unisys Corp., attended St. Athanasius Grade School and Cardinal Dougherty H.S. In his teens he was an avid sportsman; playing football, baseball, basketball and soccer. As an adult he was a 300 bowler and a competitive golfer. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. Born in 1947 in Phila., he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Marie P. (Lyons). He is survived by his 2 brothers James A. Dougherty and his wife Michaeleen of East Norriton, PA and Joseph W. Dougherty and companion Dianne of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Jack spent the last 6 years under the wonderful care of the staff of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Veterans' Center. Interment will be private at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA
