JAYE
MICHAEL C., 56 of Glenside, PA, devoted husband of Mary Louise (Murphy) Homicki, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Thursday May 7, 2009. Born in New Haven, CT April 1, 1953, he was the son of Rachel (Fisher) Jaye of Boca Raton, FL, and the late Harold Jaye. Beloved father of Andrew and Benjamin Jaye both of Glenside, PA. Dear brother of Susan Jaye of Beverly Hills, CA. Loving son-in-law of Louise Homicki of Chester, CT. Brother-in-law of Anthony Homicki of Wethersfield, CT and Charles (Gwendolyn) Homicki of Haddam, CT. Nephew of Robert (Lillian) Fisher of FL. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Michael received his PhD. in Biochemistry in 1979 from the Univ. of Connecticut. Mike was currently employed at Kolitan Pharmaceuticals, New Haven, CT as a Senior Scientist for Molecular and Cellular Biology focusing on oncological research. Prior to that he was Assistant Director for Cardio Vascular Research at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in King of Prussia, PA. From 1987 to 2000 he was Department Manager for molecular biology at Rhone-Poutenc Rorer in Collegeville, PA. Throughout his career he was issued 21 scientific patents and published over 110 scientific research articles. Funeral Services at THE ROBERT E. SHURE FUNERAL HOME, 543 George St., New Haven, CT Sunday afternoon at 2:00 with Interment to follow in the Mishkan Israel Cem. New Haven. There will be a Memorial Service for Michael at Old York Rd. Temple Beth Am, 971 Old York Rd., Abington, PA Wed. May 13th 10:00. The family will sit Shiva on Wed. and Thur. at their home in Glenside, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribu-tions should be sent to Yale-New Haven Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508 Traumatic Head Injury Fund.
