ROSE (nee Cianfrani), on May 24, 2010, age 89, of Havertown, formerly of So. Phila., PA. Beloved wife of Michael A. Bonsera, loving mother of Lea (Paul) Zacharka, Carmela (Anthony) Malerba, Michael (Patricia), Peter (Denise), Leonard (Frances) and Jerry J. Bonsera, Anthony (the late Grace) and Mildred Bonsera, dear sister of Dolores Trombetto and the late Dominic Cianfrani; also survived by 22 grandchildren, 7 great grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family Thursday 7 - 9 P.M. at THE DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 8401 WEST CHESTER PIKE (cor. LYNN BLVD.), UPPER DARBY PA, 610-449-0300. and Friday 9 - 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Country House, 1412 Lansdowne Ave., Darby, PA 19023 followed by her Funeral Mass 10:45 A.M. Int. Holy Cross Cem., Yeadon, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Rose may be made to St. Francis Country House. Online condolences at:

We want to express of sincere condolenses in the loss of your mother (Rose). Rose was an amazing woman, she raised such a wonderful family and we are very proud to have known her. My sister was always amazed when she came to your house and how she took care of that whole family. Great cook. Great mother. She will be missed, but as you know god only takes the best.

Dear Bonsera Family, To us Rose was Saint Rose, everyone loved her. She was an amazing woman. She was like our mom and our hearts are broken. I know our Lord opened up the gates of Heaven and welcomed her with opened arms. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. Please know that God picked the most amazing flower from the garden, and that was Rose Bonsera. She is an angel now and she will watch over all of you. May God's blessings be upon your entire family. My thoughts and prayers and those of my children are with all of my aunts, uncles and cousins as we mourn the passing of Grandmom Rose. She was always good and kind to me and although years and miles have separated us, my heart swells with affection as I remember her strength, warmth and good humor.
