ROBERT ALEXANDER, of New-
town Square, formerly of South Philadelphia, age 80, passed away on August 26, 2013, after a valiant battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. Beloved husband of Gloria Angela (nee Bilotta); devoted father of Michelle A. White (Dennis P.); son of the late Carmela (nee DiBona) and Felix Coia; brother of Alice Curran (Francis) and John Coia; brother-in-law of Kathleen Bilotta (Frank) and Dolores Bilotta (Russell); brother-in-law of the late Marie and Ernest Pistone, Frank R. Bilotta, Russell J. Bilotta and Claire and Everett Haverdink; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
Bob was a graduate of Southeast Catholic High School in 1950 (now Neumann-Goretti High School) and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
He was also a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and attended Temple University Law School.
He was employed by the EPA as an Audit Manager reporting to the EPA Inspector General in Washington DC.
His favorite pastime was follow-ing political campaigns and he was able to quote the names of senators, their affiliates and their platforms in almost every state. He also participated in political polling as a hobby for many years.
Bob was a co-captain of Men of Malvern and a member of the Millay Club SE Catholic Alumni. He was a member of N.I.A.F and Sons of Italy in America.
