BEVERLY, May 12, 2014, of Medford NJ. Wife of the late Harold Slater. Mother of Joan (Edward) Brown and Stuart Slater. Grandmother of Aryn (Chad) Peiper, Perri (Jordan) Myers, Alec Slater and Emilie Slater. Great grandmother of Mason Myers and Zoey Peiper.
Relatives and friends are invited Thurs., at 12:30 P.M., to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, INC. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill NJ, where Funeral Services will begin at 1 P.M. The family will return to the Community Room at the Mark 70, 1840 Frontage Rd., Cherry Hill. Contributions can be made to the American Heart Assoc. www.heart.org

I first read Beverly's book in 1984 and was fascinated. I cannot say how deeply this story touched me and made an impact on my life. I think it is an important story that shines on light on the mysteries of the brain and how memory works. A month ago I ordered the book again and am reading it once more. Her life and her story continue to inspire me and I am sure it inspires and informs others. Mrs. Slater blessed us with her life. I would be so interested to know how the rest of her days transpired.

Yea I saw this is her. A wonderful woman. I saw the movie of when she lost her memory. I'm so sorry prayers for all of you.

I read the book (Stranger in My Bed )and have often wondered if Ms. Slater ever got her memory restored. I have googled her every so often for years and now I see she has passed. My sympathy to her family. [email protected]

Beverly was an angel. I had TBI and forgot 8.9 years and if she did not reach out to me I would probably be dead by now. I am sorry for your loss.

Thank you Bev for helping me from the car to go into the church for our Hope Class on every Wed. We walked together with my oxy tank on my left side., and you on my right side. I know you enjoyed those Easter Eggs I made and took some home to enjoy. You and Harold are finally together ANOTHER ANGEL TO WATCH OVER US ALL. MISSING YOU PEGGY

You and Dad made quite the couple. Him the lovable rogue and you the elegant queen. I'll love and miss you forever. Till we meet again.

I worked with Bev for 11 years at Medford Surgical Practice. She was always protective of her "babies" charts. The last time I saw Bev was at my 50th surprise birthday party in November. I am so glad that my sister had it a year early. I was very happy I got to see Bev there. She was always concerned about other people, she loved to talk to our patients and they loved to talk to her. She will be missed. I am praying for your family.
