Gregory Gauger Obituary

GREGORY A. GAUGER, 63 OF BOYERTOWN Gregory A. Gauger, 63, of Boyertown, husband of Betty (Manwiller) Gauger, died Thursday at his residence. He was born in Pottstown to the late Warren T. and Arline N. (Nagel) Gauger. Gregory was a 1967 graduate of Boyertown High School and a graduate from a Barber School in Allentown. He then served in the Navy during Vietnam. He worked for Lance Inc. in Pottstown, as a sales representative, where he delivered in Boyertown and the surrounding areas. He was a lifetime member of Gilbertsville Fire Company and Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company in Boyertown. He was also a member of Good Shepherd UCC of Boyertown. He was an avid Phillies fan and loved cars. Surviving in addition to his wife of 35 years are two sons, David W. Gauger, husband of Jenny of Boyertown and Danny G. Gauger of Boyertown; two grandsons, Brent and Logan of Boyertown and one brother Dave Gauger of Boyertown, He was predeceased by one brother W. Brian Gauger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd UCC, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown. A viewing will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd UCC. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Morrell Funeral Home Inc., (www.MorrellFuneralHome.com).

Betty, David & Dan,

Debbie and I are truly saddened to hear about Greg's passing. What a truly good guy he was and I'll sorely miss his uplifting personality, friendly smile, and friendship. Too many good people die young and my buddy Greg was one of those really good ones! His suffering is now over, but his spirit and our memories of him will always live on. Please know that our sincerest sympathy go out to you.
