MILDRED BLIEM, 83 Mildred (Stetler) Bliem, 83, widow of Jacob Burdan Bliem, passed away on Thursday April 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by her children. Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Noel and M. Rebecca (Feather) Stetler. Mrs. Bliem was a homemaker in her early years. When she turned 60, she decided to start driving and go back to work. She worked for Philadelphia Dry Cleaners and later Raugh Cleaners. In addition, Mildred also a volunteered at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, and she donated her time to support the Pottstown Religious Cluster and helped to feed the hunger. Mildred was a lifetime member of St. John's UCC in Pottstown. She loved her church and attended as many church functions as possible. Mildred truly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandson. Mildred is survived by her children, Diane Travis, fiance of Kevin Montone, Chester Springs; Carol Bliem, fiance to Greg Churach, Pottstown, and Stephen Bliem, Mount Penn; two granddaughters, Nichole Travis, fiance to Mike Tolin, Indiana, and Cara Travis, West Chester, and a great-grandson, Joshua Tolin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Baudot, Pottstown, and brother-in-law, William Bliem of Fort Myers, Florida. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mildred truly loved her family. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bliem was predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Bagenstose, Jane Kohler, Kathryn Miller and Gladys Grove, and a brother, Charles Stetler. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday April 14, 2013 at St John's UCC, 11 South Price Street, Pottstown Pa. The Rev. Karen Creasy will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St John's UCC Memorial Fund, 11 South Price Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Auer Cremation Services of Pa., Inc.
