NINETY SIX — Lillie Mae Cantrel Gheen, 86, widow of the late Claude W. Gheen, resident of Cumberland Court, died Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born March 8, 1932 in Rocky Bottom, SC to the late John Lewis and Lillie Alexander Cantrel, she was twice married, first to the late Edgar Lee Wilson. She was the owner of Gheen Minnows Farm and Lakeview Motel on Lake Greenwood for many years.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a lifelong member of Rocky Bottom Baptist Church and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a member of Chapter 42 Auxilary.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Jean Wilson of Ninety Six; her daughter-in-law Marian Courtney Wilson; her grandchildren, Julian "Jay" Wilson and wife Tanya of Clinton, Jeremy Wilson and wife Jenny of Mooresville, N.C., Melissa Simpson of Anderson, and Susan Marie Stewart McSwinney and husband Jody of Fountian Inn, SC; six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Julian Wilson, Sr., a daughter, Ellen Gail Hendrix, and a great grandson, Nicholas Chase Stewart.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday, at 4 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Valerie Mireb officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receieve friends Sunday from 3-3:45 p.m. at Blyth Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Grandsons.
