LIBERTY — Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Thomas will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Marjorie "Margie" Yates Thomas, 100, formerly of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at Bayberry Retirement Center in Greer.
Born in Liberty, she was the widow of Clifton E. Thomas and a daughter of the late Kiel and Jane Breazeal Yates. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a longtime member of East Side Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy T. Neves (Wayne) of Travelers Rest; a daughter in law, Froline Thomas of Mauldin; four grandchildren, Bryan Neves (Terri), Dale Neves (Pam), Sheila Brock (Jon), and Tim Thomas; also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Brandi, Nicholas, Charlotte, and Jessalyn.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne C. Thomas.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to either, East Side Baptist Church, 920 Anderson Drive, Liberty SC 29657, or Wren Hospice, 955 W. Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 3A, Greer SC 29650.
The family would like to extend a sincere and special thank you to the staff of Bayberry Retirement Center and the Wren Hospice for the love and care provided to Mrs. Thomas.
The family will be at their respective homes.
