Eugene W. Hines Jr.
Norfolk - Eugene W. Hines Jr., 77 passed away on February 19, 2013. He was employed as an engineer for the United States Postal Service where he retired after 39 years. Eugene served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He was a former member of Historical First Baptist Church Bute Street, baptized in 1937. He was a graduated of Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1954. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene Hines Sr. and Esther L. Hines, a brother Elston L. Hines and nephew Reginald H. Williams Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Myrtice J. Hines, his daughters Cheryl H. Marrion (Carlton), Jacqueline J. Hines, and Cynthia E. Miller (Mark) all of Atlanta GA, Chrystal B. Anderson (Wesley) Lumberton NJ and Vanessa Featherstone Virginia Beach VA., a sister Kathryn H. Williams, Norfolk VA and a brother Henry Hines (Bettie) Houston TX, as well as 8 grandchildren, a niece, 2 nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Chapel, Rev. Gregory Chapman, Officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
