Earline Canipe Chesapeake - Earline Canipe, 82, of Chesapeake, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. Born in Lincolnton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Grace Hoke. She was also predeceased by siblings, Joe, Howard, Thurmond, Elliott, Nellie, Jeanette, Hettie Sue, and Billie. Mrs. Canipe was a Registered Nurse for 53 years. She was faithful to her friends in nursing homes, and had an active role in her church, Kingdom Life Ministries. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Atteberry and husband William; a granddaughter, Kelley Elizabeth Harris; three great-grandsons, James Payton, Avery Phillip, and Noah Loftis. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Chesapeake. Rev. Randy Wooden will officiate. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. There will be no viewing or visitation. Friends are invited to sign the online guest book at www.omanfh.com .

Carmichael, Earl R. - Chesapeake  
Earl R. Carmichael Chesapeake - - Earl Robinson Carmichael, 76, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 30, 2015. A native of Philadelphia, PA, he retired from the U.S. Navy and civil service. Earl was a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Carmichael; four daughters, Cathy Hightower of Dallas, TX, Sheri Ainsley of Chesapeake, Karen Plummer and husband Rodney of Portsmouth, and Michelle Jernigan of Portsmouth; one sister, Earline Longbine of PA; four grandchildren, Chatrice Hightower, Jesse Ainsley, Macie Morrow, and Abbie Ainsley; and his friend for life, Dexter. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 6 PM in the Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com

Carolino, Flamin - Virginia Beach  
Flamin Carolino Virginia Beach - FLAMIN CASTIL CAROLINO, SR. Virginia Beach Flamin Castil Carolino, Sr., 73. Passed away on August 25, 2015. Born in Anda, Pangasinan, Philippines, on November 1, 1941. He was the son of Pedro and Juana Castil Carolino. Flamin C. Carolino, Sr. was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from Dagupan Colleges of the Philippines, School of Nursing. He came from the Philippines and settled in the United States. He loved his adopted country and was an American patriot. He was a nurse supervisor in New York City and at Norfolk General Hospital. For 30 years he was the founder and owner of Carolino Seafood Corp., a successful seafood business in Norfolk, Virginia. He was well loved by all of his customers. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, swimming, entertaining and was an avid fisherman. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of all his friends and family. Flamin C. Carolino, Sr. is preceded in death by his father Pedro Carolino; his mother Juana Castil Carolino and brothers Eleurefe Carolino; Hazael Carolino; and Deciderio Carolino. Left to cherish in his memory are his loving wife and best friend of 50 years Corazon Razon Carolino; his son Flamin R. Carolino, Jr. Esq. and wife Jill Carolino, Esq. of Dayton Beach Shores; his son Patrick R. Carolino current owner of Carolino Seafood and wife Mary Carolino of Virginia Beach; and his daughter Joanne Carolino of New York City; and grandchildren Patrick Austin and Eleanor Carolino of Virginia Beach; his loving brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elemile Carolino Dacanay; Mrs. Sefora Carolino Cruz; Mr. Gerome Castil Carolino; Mrs. Adoracion Carolino Tabiando; Mr. Virgilio Castil Carolino; and Mrs. Eureca Carolino Afalla. and many loving bother and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Casper Jr., Robert Lee - Virginia Beach  
Robert Lee Casper, Jr. Virginia Beach - Robert "Bobby" Lee Casper, Jr. has gone to be with the Lord on August 28, 2015. Bobby was born in South Norfolk, VA and was a retired Warehouse Fabricator with Volvo. He enjoyed the outdoors including, camping in his RV, the Beach, and boating. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 44 years, Mary M. Casper, a daughter, Brandi Spruill and her husband Brian of Knotts Island, NC, his sister, Bessie Sue Shortridge of Hertford, NC, two grandchildren, Holland "Mikey" and Landin "L J", and his beloved dog, Louie Louise. Bobby was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. John E Coleman St. Cloud, FL - John Edward Coleman (74) died August 19, 2015, and is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judith Bishop Coleman, daughter, Lisa M. Coleman, granddaughter Lauren M. Coleman Born 10/22/40 to parents John Carroll and Pearl Elizabeth [Holmes] Coleman, both deceased in 1992, John is also survived by sister, Sylvia Darlene & husband Robert Norman Houston and brother, Robert C. and wife, Wanda Coleman. John was Dock Master and Owner of Hatteras Harbor Marina, in Hatteras NC for over 20 years, retiring to St. Cloud, Florida, in 1996. A private Memorial Service for close family and friends will be held in November aboard the Miss Hatteras Charter Head Boat

Crowder, Donald - Bellefonte  
Donald Crowder Bellefonte - Donald C. Crowder, 67, of Bellefonte, died Thursday August 21, 2015, at his residence. He was born December 21, 1947, in Norfolk VA, a son of the late John Everett and Virginia Catherine Woodson Crowder. In June 1972, he married Nancy Ellen Griffith who survives at home. Mr. Crowder served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He worked at Applied Research Lab at Penn State University in underwater acoustics research, and served as an associate Surviving him in addition to his wife is one son Donald Crowder Jr. of Denver, CO; two sisters, Catherine Sykes of Atlanta, GA and Margaret Schlegel of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, John Everett Crowder III (Leslie) of Chesapeake, VA, a niece who was like a daughter to him, Donna Jean Lochbum and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Linda Crowder. Funeral Services were held in State College, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World Vision, P. O.
