Ruhl, Henry - Virginia Beach  
Henry Ruhl Virginia Beach - Henry "Hank" Ruhl, 86, of the 4800 block of Bridgadoon Dr., passed away March 27, 2015, in his home with his family by his side. A native of Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Sylvia and Frank Ruhl, Jr. Henry proudly served in the United States Navy for 22 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He then went on to serve another 21 years with the Fleet Combat Training Center, Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base. Henry enjoyed spending time with his friends and colleagues at the ABNBFCU for 32 years while volunteering on the Supervisory Committee. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Bridget. Henry is survived by his children: Frank Ruhl and wife Kathy, Robert Ruhl and wife Susan, and Elisa Wright and husband Rhon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who were the lights of his life: David Wright and wife Molly, Christopher Ruhl, Stephen Wright, Matthew Wright, Daniel Wright, Scott Ruhl, Robby Ruhl, and Rachel Ruhl. A memorial service is pending.

Obituaries from the Past Three Days

Rash Sr., Alfred L. - Chesapeake  
Alfred L. Rash, Sr. Chesapeake - Alfred L. Rash, Sr. departed this life March 5, 2015. Born in Vermont, July 16, 1934, he proudly joined the U.S. Army and served his country for 22 years, which included two tours in Vietnam. Upon retirement in 1976 he became a master mechanic. Al's passion was drag racing and he was extremely proud of his accomplishments. He was also inducted to the hall of fame at the Suffolk raceway. He is survived by a son, Alfred L. Rash Jr.; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Rash Ramsay; step children, Claus Peter Rash, Donald Ward, his wife Brandy and their beautiful children, David Ward and Crystal Ward; a daughter-in-law, Susie Rash and her beautiful children, and one great granddaughter. He will be truly missed by many dear friends. Rest in peace Mopar Al. A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy Chapel. Condolences may be shared at www.snellingsfuneralhome.com

Reed, Carolyn - Norfolk  
Carolyn Reed Norfolk - Carolyn Sue O'Neal Reed, 64, suddenly passed away Sunday December 21, 2014 in South Boston, VA. She was a resident of Norfolk for 31 years. She was born to Ralph and Minnie O'Neal on April 9, 1950. Carol was predeceased by her father, Ralph O'Neal. She is survived by her mother, Minnie O'Neal, of South Boston, VA; her husband of 39 years, Thomas Reed of Norfolk; her only child, Megan Reed of Norfolk; her Granddoggie; her 3 sisters and 2 brothers. We miss you EVERYDAY and love you always and forever! No more pain, Mom!

Wilhelmina Burden Randolph Chesapeake - Wilhelmina B. Randolph, 83, went to her heavenly home March 22, 2015. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Ruth Randolph, sister Dorothy Hinton, brother-in-law Bobby Parks and many beloved family members. She is predeceased by husband Rayfield V. Randolph and sons Raphael and Matthew Randolph. In charge is Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth VA, where viewing is Thursday, March 26, 12 noon to 8 p.m. The homegoing is at Noble Street Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA, at 11 a.m. on March 27, 2015. Ripley, Alexander S. - Virginia Beach  
Alexander S. Ripley Virginia Beach - Alexander Scott Ripley, 39, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Born in Falls Church, Va., Alex truly loved good times and lived life to the very fullest. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved parents, Suzanne Braun Ripley and Scott Walton Ripley of Falls Church and his brother Joseph Ripley of Richmond along with a multitude of friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 29th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1489 Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach with Pastor Cathy Mims officiating. A reception follows. Roberson II, David Lee - Virginia Beach  
David Lee Roberson, II Virginia Beach - David Lee Roberson, II died peacefully in his Virginia Beach home on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the age of 35. David is survived by his wife Jennifer, son Kavin, mother Peggy Sorey, father David Roberson, Sr, brother Lance and his wife Heather, nephew Eli, niece Reagan, and a large extended family. David was born on February 25, 1980 in Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated from Currituck County High School in 1998. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Political Science degree from University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill in 2002. He then earned a law degree from Louisiana State University Herbert Law Center in 2006. After graduating law school, David began working for the law firm of Bolen, Parker, Brenner, Lee & Engelsman in Alexandria, LA. In 2010, David began his career with the Social Security Administration, working most recently in Norfolk, VA. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Moyock Baptist Church 123 Oak Street, Moyock, NC with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. Pastor Vic Ramsey will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hope Lodge of Baltimore, 636 W. Lexington Street Baltimore, MD 21201 or Moyock Baptist Church.
