Marvin H. Holloway Chesapeake - Marvin H. Holloway, 82, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 10, 2014. Born in Greene County, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Parma Holloway. Marvin was also predeceased by his siblings, Thelma Murphy, Etheleen Jepson Murphy, Anne Sawyer, Mildred Carlile, J.C. Holloway and Thomas Holloway. Marvin lived most of his life in Chesapeake. After graduating high school Marvin went to work for the Ford Motor Company. Shortly after he served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Upon return he resumed his job with the Ford Motor Company. He then started his own landscaping Company. Marvin enjoyed fishing and he was a member of the Southeastern Bassmaster's Association. He also loved spending time outdoors and was a member of Walters Hunt Club. He had a great devotion to his family and loved preparing meals for them. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Gwendolyn Eubanks Holloway; his three daughters, Catherine Moscopulos, Susan Spencer (Randy), Sandra Williams (Lee); his grandchildren, Tina Thomas, Nicholas Moscopulos, Shaun Richardson (Ryanne), Chelsea Castellow (Thomas), Evan Franklin and Chloe Franklin; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Zack, Zoe, Logan, Izzy, Marlie, Wyatt and Jack; his siblings, Shirley Porter, Travis Holloway (Bonnie), Preston Holloway (Evelyn). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other extended family members including Jimmy Moscopulos and Donny Franklin. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Rd. Chesapeake. Interment will follow the funeral service at Rosewood Memorial Park.The viewing will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Oman Funeral Home. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at .
