How to place an obituary in The Virginian-Pilot

To submit an obituary, please visit our self-serve site at www.pilotezads.com/obits.

Deadline is 3 p.m. EST day before for all notices. All obits must be submitted by a funeral home - we will accept them from family members only when we can confirm the death with a funeral home or a death certificate can be provided. Cost is $5.00/line and all obits are prepaid with a credit card, unless you are set up for billing privileges. All paid obituary notices will be bundled with Pilotonline.com and a Keepsake, at an additional charge.
