Virginia Beach - Annie Cahoon Williams, 89, went to be with the Lord, July 11, 2013. She was born in Columbia, NC to the late Willie and Minnie Cahoon. She loved working with her hands knitting, sewing, cooking and crafting, was a member at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Westminster Chapter #99 and Kempsville Chapter #173. Annie never met a stranger and was loved by all she met.
She is survived by her daughters, Dana Holmes, Grace Isaacs-Pedersen (Larry) and Judy Harrell; son, Roger Williams (Barbara); grandchildren, Raleigh Jr., Rebecca, Amy, Karen, Anna, Kristen, Glenn and Joey; 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Minnie Mae Snell. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Shelbourne Williams, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on July 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home with Pastor Blair Yager and Chaplin Keith Willyard officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1126 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23325.
