Brantley P. Savage Jr.
Norfolk - Brantley P. Savage Jr. "B", 92, went to be with the Lord February 24, 2013. He was a native of Onley, VA, and is predeceased by his parents Mollie and Brantley P. Savage, Sr. "B" retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 31 years, and went to work for an additional 39 years as an executive with Smith & Welton Dept. Store in Norfolk. He was a Past Master of Corinthian Lodge 266, and was a member of the Scottish Rite. "B" was a lifelong United Methodist and served in many positions in the church.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Nellie E. Savage; daughters Leigh S. Floyd (Joseph) and Carrie S. Asby (Bert); four granddaughters Becky F. Elmo, Amy F. Williams, Courtney A. Worthington, and Meredith A. Viola; and six great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 288 E. Little Creek Rd. Norfolk, 23505 or CHKD. A visitation will be held Friday, Mar. 1, from 10-11 a.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk followed by a service at 11am.
