Virginia Beach - Elliott "Ron" or "Randy" Randoph Coleman, age 71 of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away June 4, 2013 of natural causes. He was born July 30, 1941 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Elliott E. Coleman and Maude Nancy Randolph who both preceded him in death, along with "uncle" E.G. Johnson. Mr. Coleman is survived by "aunt" Jean Johnson of Weiner, Arkansas, adopted daughter Chaweewan (Coleman) Ong of Warner Robins, Georgia, son Jason Coleman of Bremerton, Washington and grandsons Justin, Brandon, and Nathan Ong of Warner Robins, Georgia. He was married in 1971 for 13 years to Savien Kingwongsa of Thailand who now resides in Byron, Georgia. Mr. Coleman attended public schools in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas for four years prior to joining the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam, Japan, Spain, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean. He retired honorably after 24 years of service in 1986 and resided in the Tidewater, Virginia region until his passing. Mr. Coleman was an avid, lifelong sports enthusiast and a dedicated supporter of local Tidewater sports teams. A private viewing for family was held at the Hale Funeral Home of Norfolk. Internment will be at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia.
