Norfolk - Edward Frederick "Freddie" Chinchello, passed away January 19, 2014 in a local hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, Freddie was the son of the late Vincent J. and Emily Woodhouse Chinchello, and was preceded in death by his son George Frederick "Rick" Chinchello. And his brother

Freddie was a U S Air Force veteran and served on the Norfolk Police Force. He's best remembered as a pioneering local restaurateur and night club owner. His enterprises included Lil Freddie's, Chinchello's

Supper Club and the Redskins Club. He was a former member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus and the Wards Corner Suds Club.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary Bakay Chinchello of Ontario, Canada; their son Vincent R. Chinchello and his wife Roberta Gaetti of Modena, Italy;his sister Kay Garland; nephew Maury Dinunzi and his constant furry companion Luna "Peppina".

Memorial services will be held in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartment on Friday at 1:00 P.M.
