George Bryan Lupton
Franklin - George Bryan Lupton was born September 25, 1934 to the late Sherman Alexander and Lizzie Dean Lupton of Lowland, NC. George was a veteran of the US Navy
where he served aboard the USS Rochester, a member of VFW
Post 4411 and Gates County Hunt Club. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Franklin and was devoted to his church and his Savior where there was no task too menial or monumental. In his congregation, George served on the vestry and was truly the guardian of the church's property. George was a 32nd degree mason joining the Southampton Scottish Rite Association as a charter member in 1968 and serving as Vice President that same year. He served as President in 1969.
