Norfolk - On Thursday October 4, 2012 our heavenly Father called home our beloved Rawlings "Pop" Brown Jr. Rawlings was born to the late Rawlings Brown Sr. and Mattie Brown in Sandersville Ga. He attended Sandersville public schools and he joined the United States Navy and retired after 20 years of service. He was employed at Sinclair Fleet, NOB. He was predeceased by two sisters Mattie Simpson and Lola Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted companion of 35 years Flora Hyman, two sisters Margaret Morris of Washington D.C. and Willie Mae Wilson of Florida, one son Isaiah Hyman (Beverly), three daughters Cynthia Hyman of Norfolk, Jeanette Hyman, Celestine Hill (Craig) VA Beach, favorite nephew Zeb Betha (Iralene) of Augusta Ga. Best friends, Willie, Marion, and Bessie Cullens of Sandersville Ga., Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of loving relatives and caring friends. The viewing will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday October 12, 2012 at Graves Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Paul C.M.E. Church at 310 E.
