Virginia Beach - Reynaldo Apacible Perez, 74, of Virginia Beach, walked through Heaven's Gates on January 08, 2014.

Born in 1939 in the town of Tuy Batangas, Philippines, he was the second oldest of ten siblings. To fulfill his dream of traveling the world, he joined the U.S. Navy and retired after serving 25 years which included a tour in the Vietnam War. After retirement, he worked another 14 years in civil service.

Reynaldo is survived by his wife: Priscilla; his daughter Barbara Lane and husband Jeff; his son Bobby and wife Kelly; his granddaughter Riley with another grandchild on the way; and his beloved dogs Sammy, Binky, Madison and Brandi. He is also survived by his brothers Santiago and Pedro, his sisters Naida and Miguela and dozens of nieces and nephews all of whom reside in the Philippines.

A viewing will be held on Jan 13 & 14 at Hollomon-Brown on Kempsville Rd. in VA Beach from 6-8 p.m.

On Jan 15, the funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown proceeding the Burial at Colonial Grove in VA Beach.
