Simon Scarano

Chesapeake - Simon "Skee" Scarano, 80, passed away at his home on February 6, 2014. Skee was born in Norristown, PA to the late Dominic and Jennie Scarano and was the loving husband of the late Gloria Perry Scarano. He served his country in the United States Navy; was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church, South Norfolk Moose Lodge #464, Sons of Italy, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #795; and retired as a conductor with the Norfolk and Southern Railway. Skee loved the outdoors and loved hunting with the guys at the Gates County Hunt Club and he also enjoyed fishing; he liked antiques and was known by family and friends as the garage sale man.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Teresa Scarano; David Scarano (Debra) and Steven Scarano; grandchildren, Stephanie Chadwell (Jack), Domonic Scarano (Sarah) and Corey Scarano; great grandchildren, Haley, Matthew, Ashley Clayton, Colton and Ellie; and his brother, Johnny Scarano (Linda)

A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved Gloria at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. At the request of the family inlieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to .
