Teresa Harmon Ingerson
Virginia Beach - Teresa Harmon Ingerson died on March 13, 2014. She is joined in death by her cherished husband, William Thomas Patton. She was born on Jan. 27, 1952 to Paul Newell Harmon and Marlene Russ Harmon in Southport, North Carolina.
An accomplished artist, Teresa enjoyed many hobbies such as cooking, reading, crafting, gardening and service to her local garden club. Throughout her career as a financial consultant she enjoyed many successes with her husband and business partner, Tom Patton. She was a lover of life, maker of friends, and mourner of broken things. She loved her family, friends, and doggies, and graced those around her with infectious laughter.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Abbe Haymaker of Chesapeake; her sons, Russell Ingerson and wife Maria Silva Ingerson of Norfolk, Travis Patton and husband Jeffrey Seese of Washington, DC; and her daughter, Abbe Ingerson Little and husband Scott of Richmond; as well as uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews around the country.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21 at Virginia Heights Baptist Church, 1251 Kempsville Road, Norfolk at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Albert G.
