Deborah McNair Obituary

Deborah Ann McNair PORTSMOUTH - Deborah Ann McNair, 58, of Savage Court, passed away Dec. 17, 2010. She was a member of Holy Light Church of Deliverance and served on the Gospel Choir, Mature Saints, and Hospitality Committee. Deborah attended the Portsmouth public school system. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son, Theresa Byrd, Hampton and Domonike McNair, Chesapeake; four sisters, Cathleen Staples-Hunter, Portsmouth, Legolia K. Lee, Chesapeake, Arlene Walker (Jerry), Highpointe, N.C., and Tonya Jones; one aunt, Phyllis Anderson, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a special friend, William Chester Harrell, Portsmouth, and her devoted friend, Renee Turner. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice D. Williams; her mother, Legolia Hunter Lee; her father, James Ellis Jones; her stepfather, Willie M. Lee; and her brother, Ronad, G. Hunter. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Light Church of Deliverance, 1918 Lincoln St., Portsmouth, VA 23704. Bishop Samuel Curruth will be officiating. Burial site is Greenlawn Memorial Park, Portsmouth. Steele-Bullock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Viewing will be Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m. at the funeral home with a wake from 6 to 7 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at residence at 10:15 a.m. for the processional to the church.
