Sharon Hall Obituary
Virginia Beach - Sharon B. Hall, "Mini", 65, passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2014.
She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 7, 1949, to the late Melvin Boatner and Ila "Vicky" Brothers Boatner. Sharon grew up in Greensboro, NC and graduated from Grimsley High School in 1967. She attended one year of college at Guilford College with a huge desire to become a flight attendant and joined Piedmont Airlines which became US Airways. She retired after 34 years with the latter part of career spent flying international. She truly loved flying to the big cities of Europe.
Sharon was a true animal lover with many wonderful cats, shelties and her beloved horse, Dancer, of 25 years.
Sharon loved her family and friends. She loved horseback riding and competing in horse shows with Dancer. She loved her home and decorated it beautifully, loved to cook and experiment with many recipes but mainly preferred her wonderful Southern cooking. She loved to take ballet lessons and try new things up to her final days.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of nearly 30 years, Ron Hall, of Virginia Beach, two sisters, Sandra Pearce and husband Eddie of Denton, TX and Susan Morris of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by two nephews, Chris Pearce (Clay Luther) and Corey Pearce (Julie) and two nieces, Jennifer Morris Ingold (Brian) and Whitney Morris Scarlett (Michael); great nephews Max Ingold, Caden Scarlett and great nieces Rhen Scarlett and Ella Pearce. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Gloria Hall, of Greensboro.
Visitation will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014. A Celebration of Life memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Old Donation Episcopal Church located at 4449 N. Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. A reception will follow at the adjacent reception hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Va. Beach SPCA, Alzheimer's Association, Wounded Warriors or any charity of your choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at:

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I flew with her for many years at Piedmont and she was always the life of the party and a great woman. I remember her asking me one day on one of our many trips - What are you going to do when you grow up. I said I was going to be a doctor. She laughed and said we'll see, but for right now we have a full cabin to serve and a long flight. I never forgot this and when I graduated medical school the two of you were there and she said - I knew you would do it. I smiled and we hugged.
I will always remember this.
Jay and I are thinking of you and know Sharon will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know this great woman.

With deepest sympathy to Sharon's family. I met Sharon at USAirways flying the international division. Sharon was full of fun, and laughter. I will cherish the memory of good times that is unique. May memories bring you comfort and peace. Rest in peace Sharon.
