Vivian Harlow

Vivian H. Harlow NORFOLK - Vivian Hudson Harlow, 81, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2010 after a short illness. A daughter of Roy and Rowland Hudson of Moyock, N.C., she grew up in Williamston, N.C., and lived most of her adult life in Great Bridge. In addition to her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Claude L. "Johnnie" Harlow and her first granddaughter, Kika Johnson. Vivian is survived by two daughters, Claudia Johnson and husband Steve of Norfolk and Sharon Gunn and husband Jay of Walters; one son, Joel Harlow and wife Winona of Indian Trail, N.C.; two brothers, Roy Hudson and wife Evelyn of Virginia Beach and Charles Hudson and wife Barbara of Sligo, N.C.; one sister, Doris Rose of Shreveport, La.; her beloved six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and longtime faithful cat "Leebie". A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church by the Rev. John Rohrs. Burial will follow at 12:15 p.m. in the Chesapeake Memorial Gardens in Great Bridge by the Rev. Thomas L. Mercer Sr. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. today, Oct. 31, at H. D.
