Cynthia Clemons Obituary
Chesapeake - Cynthia A. Clemons departed this life on Monday, August 19, 2013. She was born in Moyock, North Carolina to the late Earl A. Spellman, Sr. and Ida Alberta Spellman-Gallop. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ida Alberta Spellman-Gallop; daughter, Shayla R. Clemons; grandson, Brandon T. Clemons; sisters, Brenda G. Burke and Valencia Spellman; brother, Earl A. Spellman, Jr. (Dannetta); nephews, LaMar A. Spellman and Jefferson L. Burke (Shunita); niece, LaToya D. Webb (Jalo); three step-sisters, Winifred Gallop, Marcia Gallop and Tomasine Hill; step-brother, Willie Gallop, Jr. (Sophronia) and a host of relative and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, ValJean Spellman and step-father, Willie E. Gallop.
The Celebration of Life will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, August 24, at New Light Baptist Church, 2418 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA., Dr. Kevin R. White, Officiating. The family will receive friends, 6-7 p.m., Friday, August 23, at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. In lieu of flowers the family request that monetary donations are made to the Cynthia Clemons Memorial Fund at any Town Bank. The lord look down at all his flower as they bloom, he look and he look and their was Cynthia, in his eyes she was the prettiest one and the readiest flower.We love Cynthia in all his wisdom, when she was born on September 2, 1954 which will be tomorrow, he only lent her to us for 58 years and eleven months I enjoyed the different she made in my life. she was always straight to the point.she has cross over which is a day that all God children look forward to. no more pain , no more heart ace , no more disappointment, on more bills, no more sickness.She would said to her family, If anybody ask you where I going, tell for me I am gone up yawd the to be with My Lord.

To the family of Cynthia I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am rejoicing because she is singing and rejoicing for she is healed, no more pain. I saw this poem and I felt it so fitting to share at this time. May the Master Planner who makes no mistakes continue to strengthen you all at this time.

I offer my deepest condolences to Cynthia's family and friends in this time of loss and grieving. I will always remember Cynthia for her dedicated work ethic, superb ability to multi-task, and stout ability to persevere throughout whatever situation or circumstance she was presented with over the course of her life. Her character and no-nonsense approach to conducting business and managing Circuit Court Records will certainly be treasured by all those who have had the opportunity to work for her or interact with her in this capacity as I did.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. I was deeply sadden to hear of Cynthia's passing. It was a pleasure to work with her. We became very good friends.
