Virginia Beach - Jahshim Nahshon Turnbull, 23 passed away untimely on March 10, 2016. Born in Norfolk Jahshim loved music and basketball and graduated from Tallwood High School Class of 2011. Left to cherish his memory, mother Andrea Whitfield, father, Ludence Turnbull Jr., stepfather, Juma Whitfield, brother, Juma "Nuke" Whitfield, maternal grandparents, Joyce Mitchell, Melvin Boney(Gloria) paternal grandparents, Ludence Sr. and Bernice Turnbull, step-grandparents, Floyd and Gwen Whitfield, maternal great grandmother, Virginia Garris, special friend, Marissa Slade, a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and numerous friends, best friends and a lifelong childhood brother like friend, Vaughn Lee. The viewing will be Tuesday March 15 from 2-8pm at Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave, the funeral will be held Wednesday March 16 at noon at Level Green Fellowship Church, 1305 Level Green Blvd Va Beach,VA 23464, burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. At Ingleside Shim was my best friend. Moving from Portsmouth to a new school I only had my cousin that I knew and he introduced me to Shim and our friendship started from their. Our common love for basketball and being huge wrestling fans is what we constantly talked about. I had great times with Shim as my teammate on my uncles basketball team. As well as going against him in AAU and Middle School. In which afterwards we had a brief convo after not seeing one another for about a year or so and we just picked up where we left off. Crazy thing is a year later and we were starting high school together at Booker T. I hadn't seen or talked to you since those days I missed out on the opportunity to catch back up with you. One day though we will. I will never forget you Shim. Rest easy brother.
