Angela Swearingen Obituary
Chesapeake - Angela (Angi) Meredith Swearingen, 40 was taken into God's hands on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Norfolk after a short, but courageous battle with Glioblastoma.
Angi had a selfless spirit, a smile that would light up the darkest of rooms, and endless love in her heart. She was a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and friend, but most of all she was a Mom. An amazing Mom who taught her children to always be kind, to never give-up on their dreams, and shared all she was with them. She shared her love for shopping with Adriana, her free spirit with MJ, her silly side with Mason, her love for Beyonce and Big Sean with her step-daughter Lexy, and her love for the water with them all.
To say that Angi loved the water is almost not enough. As the weather turned warm, her days were spent in the sun. Whether at her mom's pool, the beach, or spending a long weekend at Lake Gaston with friends and family.
When Angi was not spending time with her family and friends she was busy bartending, and when it came to bartending, Angi was one of the best. From her early days at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to her new home in Chesapeake, Angi made her presence known. Big Ang or Angi Baby as her friends referred to her, was a rockstar, a no-nonsense, get-it-done girl. She took newbies under her wing and easily transformed her customers into friends.
In addition to her beautiful children mentioned, Angi is survived by her Fiance; Matt Moeller; Mother, Barbara Norton; Father, Gary Norton; birth Father, Richard Swearingen; Step-mother, Joyce Swearingen; Sister, Christina Swearingen; two Step-sisters; Catina Bundy and Crystal Doran; Grandmother, Anne Martin; Grandparents, Salvatore and Lola Musarra.

Her memorial will be held at River Oak Church in Chesapeake, VA on Thursday, April 27th at 2pm led by Heath Burris with a reception to immediately follow.

I am so sorry Matt and kids ,bob Kim and Katie and the rest of her family. . I met her quite a few times from swimming at the outdoor pool at the ymca to the ball field for her daughter and son ... she was beautiful and always nice to talk to !! No matter how busy or crazy it was, she always flashed you a smile, the same smile that could light up a room in high school, that made you feel that you were her most important customer.
