Annette Saunders Silver
Norfolk - Annette (Saunders) Silver, 89, of Orange Park, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, May 24, 2013.

She was born to the late Oscar and Ottilia (Segerer) Saunders, December 25, 1923, in Norfok, VA. Annette graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1941. She married the late Arthur Joseph Silver, Sr. in 1943, and they lived together in Norfolk, VA before retiring to New Port Richie, FL in 1978. Annette was a loving and busy housewife raising seven children. Her interests included golfing, crafts, card games, reading and volunteering.

Annette is predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Silver, Sr. (2011) and one son, John T. Silver (2002). She is survived by six loving children; Arthur J. Silver Jr. of Savannah, GA; Patrick F. Silver and wife Violet A. Silver of St. Augustine, FL; Eileen S. Gildea of Bartlett, TN; Linda K. DeVero and husband Stephen G. DeVero of Jacksonville FL; Robert M. Silver and wife Betty C. Silver of Virginia Beach, VA; and Deborah A. Johnson and husband Glenn E. Johnson of Oak Hill, VA; she is also survived by her brother Richard J. Saunders of Spotsylvania, VA, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29 in San Juan del Rio Catholic Church, 1718 State Rd 13N, Saint Johns, FL with Father Tony Ike as Celebrant. Burial will be held at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband of 67 years.
