Anthony Tony Notarmaso
Virginia Beach - Anthony "Tony" Notarmaso 90, passed away September 10, 2013. Tony was born in Bayonne, NJ on August 21, 1923. He was the son of the late Joseph and Rosa Notarmaso. Tony was predeceased by his loving wife Laure, brother Ralph, sister Carmela, and brother-in-law Walter Finley.
Tony was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 91st Troop Carrier Squadron as a teletyper.
He was a meat cutter for 20 years and a 20 year deli proprietor in Jersey City, N.J. Upon retirement, he and his wife Laure settled in Virginia Beach. Tony was also an avid ballroom dancer and a bowler in the Hampton Roads Blind Bowler League.
Tony is survived by a sister, Mary Baia and husband Perry; sister-in-law Anna Notarmaso all of New Jersey. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. A step-daughter Paulette Williams also survives him.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with a visitation at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
