Barbara Tiedemann Obituary
Chesapeake - Barbara Hudson Tiedemann, 79, left quietly to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Belva R. Hudson. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Fritz A. Tiedemann, Jr.; her son-in-law, Mark Brewer and her brother, Walter A. Hudson, Jr. She was retired from the Chesapeake Police Department and was a volunteer at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Barbara was a long time member of Great Bridge Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Randall Lee Tiedemann and wife Virginia, Donna T. Holloman and husband Sid, and Marcia T. Brewer; grandchildren, Kelly Holloman, Crystal Fields and husband Stephen, Stephanie Sydow and husband Nathan, Dustin Tiedemann and Erica Tiedemann; great grandchildren, Kayla Jones, Madison Fields, Aryanna Cuneo and Reagan Fields, as well as a large extended family and many close friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Great Bridge Baptist Church, 640 Battlefield Blvd., S. Chesapeake. Dr. William Langford and Rev. Charles L. Moseley will officiate. The interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
The viewing will begin on Monday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sidney M. Oman Cancer Treatment Center, C/O Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, 736 Battlefield Blvd., N., Chesapeake, VA 23320.
